Dead cells slumbering sanctuary4/7/2023 ![]() The best route for the completionist, exploring every nook and cranny for those skill scrolls. There is always a cursed chest in Prison Depths for those in search of a little spice in their lives.More stats for higher damage and more health when entering the final boss.Grabbing gear behind those pesky timed and hit streak doors is all well and good, but this route will net you the most stat scrolls and scroll fragments on your way to the Hand of the King. Is there anything better than getting those stats to the max? I don’t think so. Upgrading tactics for the Alchemic Carbine Consists of the biomes with the enemies least likely to break your killstreak (Thinking about you, Slumbering Sanctuary).Prioritizes not getting hit, which becomes more important at higher BC difficulties. For this route, time is not of the essence, allowing you to take out enemies slowly and methodically. These bastards require you to kill either 30 or 60 enemies to open and bring you the same awesome gear that hides behind the timed doors. There are other doors at the end of each biome. The gear will almost always be significantly higher quality than what you have. All you have to do to open a timed door is be fast.Forgotten Sepulcher (26 min timed door).Promenade of the Condemned (2 min timed door). On top of being able to choose one free piece of gear, they are all two or three gear levels higher than what you could find at the previous biome. With this route, there are five timed doors, each one containing a weapon, an amulet, and a skill. This is the route for those who play Dead Cells fast and hard. Who will, maybe, bring about an abrupt end to your run. These three routes are designed to overcome those obstacles and take you to the final boss. This area contains a number of golden doors that cannot be opened. I only go through there when I’m feeling good about my build and want to farm the cells. Buffed bonus damage on stunned enemies affix chance. I go to clock tower at times for the same reason. The new Duelist mob in Slumbering Sanctuary has been buffed (breach resistance increased and more hp). In each biome, enemies and hazards are waiting to bring about an abrupt and premature end to your run. The Slumbering Sanctuary is a challenging area with a number of tough enemies. The only reason to go to Slumbering sanctuary is to vibe to the banger soundtrack. Once the Giant is defeated, a secondary entrance to the Caverns will unlock in the Slumbering. That’s where you’ll fight the Giant boss. With the arrival of the Fatal Falls DLC, there are now 27 biomes to challenge on your way to the Throne Room. Reach the end of the Caverns to access the Guardian’s Haven. There’s also Challenger’s Rune that unlocks daily runs in the starting zone and can be found after defeating boss in The Black Bridge, but that one isn’t needed for progression and you’ll get it eventually. What's the Best Way to Reach the Throne Room? You can’t do them all in one swoop, so once you’ve unlocked one either carry on or die and start from the beginning. The Prisoners’ Cells > The Toxic Sewers > The Old Sewers > The Insufferable Crypt > Slumbering Sanctuary The Prisoners’ Cells > The Promenade of the Condemned > Ossuary The Prisoners’ Cells > The Promenade of the Condemned So if you’re in a hurry to get them all your routes would be: The Spider’s Rune in Slumbering Sanctuary by fighting with an elite Orb Caster (Tip: bring a ranged weapon) The Belier’s Rune in Ossuary by fighting with an elite Slasher yet again. The Teleportation Rune in the Toxic Sewers unlocked by fighting with an elite Slasher (Tip: bring a shield or something to stun or immobilize him with) The Vine rune can be picked up in the Promenade of the Condemned by fighting with an elite Undead Archer (Tip: dodge its double arrow) I personally will take Stilt Village or the Graveyard before the sanctuary, but hey, I'm doing 4BC. ![]() Unless you're looking for Tough Nut, you don't need to be there. You will want to get them as soon as possible to not skip any possible loot on your way. Truth be told, the Slumbering Sanctuary is giving you grief with the Golems is something to do with your playstyle. The runes are permanent unlocks that will give you access to locked parts of the map – including biomes.
